WoooHooo!

My planter full of tulips and some snapdragons!!

I thought I would hop on the laptop and update you all on the results of Lee's biopsy...NORMAL!!! Woohoo!  He got out his stitches too.  He is happy he can swim again.  He is currently on a break in between his college courses, he go an "A" in business ethics!!  Next up is business economics....it sounds like an intense course, the book alone was $185!!!  He has been taking advantage of this off time, he has been playing his Call of Duty video game, he does not usually play it when he has a class going on.  He came home yesterday telling me he might have to go to a school (for work) in Chicago!  He would be there a week, if he gets to go, I am looking forward to a Chicago Starbucks mug for my collection, he has gotten them for me in Bahrain and Denver.

That's it for now....

Better to be safe, than sorry....

When I call my dad, there is always a few exchanges of both of us saying "well, nothing exciting happening around here"...and I said it a few times yesterday.  Last night, I remembered what I wanted to tell him.  I am posting about it, not to embarrass Lee, but more of a public service announcement.

Lee, and both boys for that matter, have a lot of moles, and have had them forever.  I casually check Lee's back because....when he was younger he was a sun baby, kid, teenager!  Spending lots of time in the California and  Florida sunshine.  When I checked last week, there was one that had the usual brown dot, but there was a lighter color around it and I could feel a small bump under it.  Thankfully, Lee listened and showed the doctor at work and she agreed it did look unusual and they set up an appointment to to a biopsy. He had the biopsy done on Tuesday, it seems pretty deep and looks painful, he has three stitches to close the hole.

We will know the results in a week or two.  The doc said that it did not look cancerous to her...which is a sigh of relief, but we still await the results.  Hopefully it is all fine and good and nothing to worry about.

I will keep you posted!

Little Miss Mahoney...

Our little Miss Mahoney....yup, her name will be Mahoney Lynne!!!  This is Arrielle this morning, at 23 weeks!!  Time seems to be going faster now!

Last night, Mason could feel the baby move for the first time...I can only imagine the look on his face.  I laugh, because in a month or two it will look like an alien has invaded Arrielle's body...when you can see Mahoney moving around in her mommy's tummy!

I spent the last two days baby sitting for a neighbor that just had her second son.  Exhausting!  I got my fill of playing super heroes and watching Batman cartoons!   I also made an appointment for myself to see the doctor....here is why, I saw a friend from when I used to go to Fit Club at the gym last year.  We talked before I got on the treadmill, she is older than me and looks awesome.  We spoke about Fit Club and agreed that instead of lifting me, it only knocked me down...I gained back the 15 pounds I lost, felt defeated and broken and how it takes everything I have to get my ass off the couch to go to the gym.  She reminded me that the only obstacle is me...I am my own worst enemy.  I am the one telling myself that I may be like this forever.  That 15 minutes with Sarah boosted my courage...and I totally rocked my time on the treadmill.  I know that someday's there will be a moment when the compulsion to eat that burger and fries comes over me and I give in, but I need to remind my self when I go to the gym "I am here now"...not to beat myself up over the yesterday, but to try to do better today!

I made the doctor appointment because its important...I can't be afraid because Dr. Grossman is gonna see that I gained the weight back.  That is what has kept me away these past few months.  I was scared about what she would say...but really...can she beat me up any more than I have beat up myself???
