We headed out this afternoon...no fishing due to the weather...on the hunt for eagles. I still have not seen one yet, well...I may have seen the head of one, but it was far away and we were just hoping it was one. So, we drove out of town on Whitshed Road, it only goes five miles (you can only get to Cordova by air or by boat)...we did not see any eagles, but when we got to Hartney Bay, we saw hundreds of seagulls. The tide was going out, leaving some salmon stranded in the shallows...a seagulls dream come true! There were also seals taking advantage of the salmon's misfortune. It was a pretty drive, even though I still have not seen an eagle...there is always tomorrow.
