We have been roasting though...at dare I say temps of almost 80 degrees!! I feel bad saying that, since I know it a a lot hotter elsewhere. We scrambled to find the boxes containing fans.
So far, we have been to the local farmers market (Humboldt still wins in that category), strolled Barnes and Noble (turns out I did not miss that as much as I thought I did...), went over to the other side to see my dad and Mike (which was funny, because my dad put his secretary right back to work), we found the perfect size chest freezer (totally using coupons, for free delivery and added warranty...it is totally worth saving for, now I gotta get a couple bags of popsicles to fill it), we have had the kids over for dinner a couple times and even got to watch Mahoney on our own too!
Elliott...well, moving here without jobs was made a lot less scary...when one of his friends knocked at the door like a cop on a drug bust, just a couple hours after we arrived. Elliott has his smile back...he has been with his friends everyday since!
One casualty of the move has been my desk...also known as blogging central! I will miss it, but there is always the couch and the kitchen table.
Next up...finishing unpacking, so I can open our new home to family and friends to celebrate Lee's retirement!
