These are a few of my favorite things..part 10

TRADITIONS.....or at least things you hope will become traditions. This was the second year for us to host our Ferndale friends for the annual Lighted Trucker Parade, in Eureka. I make chili, and they bring some snacks. Last night we noshed a little and then headed out for the parade...it was pretty loud this year...nothing like an hour of semi truck drivers trying to play Jingle Bells with their horns...I should have served Tylenol instead of snacks! It was a lot of fun, an evening of friends and laughter.

We have a couple special traditions....we have pizza on Christmas Eve, that one started back in 1992...I was pregnant with Elliott and exhausted...so we ordered pizza. We have had it every Christmas Eve since. We also have lasagna for Christmas dinner....I love it because I can make it the day before, and all I have to do is toss it in the oven..it makes for a nice relaxing Christmas day. I love that Mason and Arrielle follow these two traditions as well. We also watch a lot of holiday movies....while eating pizza we watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and It's A Wonderful Life every year.

Next Sunday night we have another...the lighted tractor parade in Ferndale....if that one does not put you in a holiday mood, I don't know what will.

What is your favorite holiday tradition???
